This book contains 14pt font for easier reading. (The Average Bible Contains 6pt font lettering.) The Book of Numbers is the fourth book of the Hebrew Bible, and the fourth of five books of the Jewish Torah. The book has a long and complex history, but its final form is probably due to a Priestly redaction (i.e., editing) of a Yahwistic source made some time in the early Persian period (5th century BCE). The name of the book comes from the two censuses taken of the Israelites.

I‘m currently on Numbers 31. It‘s the 3rd Sunday in Advent. If you follow the Lectionary, this week for Year A is OT: Isaiah 35:1-10. NT: James 5: 7-10 Psalm: 146:5-10 or Luke 1:46-55 Gospel: Matthew 11:2-11

Wheeee! I made it through Leviticus again. The New English Translation made it an easier but more in-depth read. Now onto the joy of Numbers.🐝

Bible book.

Norton Critical Edition.

Most of it is okay, but finding the massacres of other people, particularly the Midianites, very troubling, especially after just reading a Palestinian novel.

Not a fan of chapter 30 either.

This one has another figure.
