I have had this book for years but the stories it offers are timeless. Reflections by great authors, political figures, & other people influential to the Civil Rights movement share their stories of what it was like as a person of colour to grow up in the United States. Each story allows you hold a piece of the author in your heart and helps you realize that when it comes to the colour of your skin not all people were created equal. Powerful read!
