There's a marathon in Austin today. As a show of solidarity I walked to H-E-B and acquired an apple fritter, slice of pizza, and some grapefruit. It was stressful, I couldn't even jaywalk properly. Now I'm back to cramming in as many pages today as possible so I don't fall behind in my Goodreads reading challenging. Now that's my kind of marathon.

Texreader Perfect! My husband has run that marathon plus the capital 10,000. Your marathon is more my speed. 7y
Hooked_on_books I love it! 😂 7y
jpmcwisemorgan @Hooked_on_books All the cheering was for my reading wins. @Texreader 😉 7y

I've finished 4 books have about 14 hours of reading in for the #24in48 #readathon. I would have been more but, you know, Internet and #resisting happened. I have a few novellas I'm going to squeeze in so I should end up with 16 or 17 hours total. 😀

My timer keeps starting over so I've decided to stop keeping track of my hours for the #24in48 #readathon. I've read three books so that's about 9 hours of reading. I knew I wasn't going to hit 24 and I did finish my Goodreads goal of 4 books a week for last week AND started on this week's so overall it's going well. How is everyone else doing?

BookishMarginalia I'm at about 12 hours and quite happy about it! 7y
SaturnDoo I have about 12 hours so far. I had to work yesterday evening, so I knew I wouldn't make 24 hours but I have some time this evening. I am happy ☺ 7y
jpmcwisemorgan @BookishMarginalia & @SaturnDoo I think we're doing quite well! 7y
SaturnDoo Ty I agree. I always say, some reading is better than no reading 😂 You have done well also with your 4 books a week. WTG 🎉🎉🖒🖒 7y
LeahBergen Ah, it doesn't matter. I won't make the full 24 hours either but I'm enjoying myself. 😀 7y

A friend distracted me with their quest for the perfect bathroom trashcan. And dinner. I mean, I do have to eat sometime. 😊 I thought some Littens might appreciate my order number card. Now back to the #24in48 #readathon!

monkeygirlsmama Awesome 🤣 7y
DGRachel I thought I had one of those. Turns out, it actually controlled the attic light and I was sending coded messages to the neighborhood. 😂😂😂 7y

With the upcoming #24in48 reading extravaganza I see that a lot of people have created a stack of books they'd like to read. I considered it but then realized that I'd never actually follow through on reading any of them so I'm going to wing it. Bring on the books!

AdaChivers I'm planning on keep Reading the books I've already started, but also some graphic novels on the way! I doubt I'll read a total of 24 hours, but I'm planning to read as much as I can 7y
Reviewsbylola I just pull all of my short/easy reads and graphic novels. I have no clue what I'll actually read though! 7y
LibrarianRyan I forgot that was this weekend. I have a ton of D.C. Galley to read tomorrow so I think I know what I will be reading. 7y
