CocoReads Last day off but I‘m only working tomorrow and Friday before having the weekend off. Yay for PTO! Today I didn‘t leave the house. Did some reading, did some (very little) cleaning and organizing but had a very relaxed day. 4y

Birdsong28 It has been a really good day as I found out that everyone will be getting a bonus in next month's pay to say thank you for all our hard work over the last few months and it is a good bonus as well. So I won't get till September but it will be something to look forward to. 😊📚📖 4y

TrishB I didn‘t have any online meetings today 😁😁 for the first time I think since March 17! I did spend most of the day arguing via email with a philosophy academic and their interpretation of the assessment regs. 4y

TrishB @gradcat we had actually agreed by the 3rd email, but he wanted to debate why the wording was ambiguous and could be misinterpreted. After about 15 emails I just stopped replying, realising he was enjoying the debate and I was just getting angry and frustrated!! (edited) 4y

Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Problem with stress is it is a sneaky little B! Sometimes it is evident you are under stress, other times it sneaks up on you and you‘ve got all the symptoms and not even realised you‘ve been stressed. My IBS is giving me great problems at the moment. Almost impossible to conquer stress, tried for years. Every Summer when school finished after about 4-5 days the symptoms kick in! It knows when you relax (edited) 4y

Andrew65 @gradcat Today‘s are all internet ones. We are still trying to relax in Scotland. Although Motorhome we rest it more like a holiday home, will spend all the holiday at the one place exactly like a holiday home. Hope you are feeling better. 🥰 (edited) 4y

My daughters IBS currently bad as well it was fine until last week. Sneaky little thing stress. I need to do better . Don‘t we all 🤷🏽‍♀️ 4y

Lynnsoprano @gradcat I don‘t sing much anymore, except when I‘m teaching or at church. Since our services are on zoom now, I have to record whatever I‘m doing. Usually I just email the recordings, but this week‘s file was too big. So it‘s on YouTube. If you search The Prayer - Lynn Pernezny you should find it, if you‘re a glutton for punishment. I‘m not happy with it, but hubby said it was fine and he was tired of holding the phone 😂 4y

BookwormM Well after the excitement of yesterday today has been a bummer the viewer withdrew their offer apparently the garden shrank overnight as today it‘s too small 🤣🤣 and my terminally ill aunt has been given 2 weeks to live 😭😭I can‘t visit as I am shielding from Covid until 1st August when miraculously it will be safe for me to go out immune suppressors or not . Crazy world, crazy times. 4y

BookwormM Thanks Andrew I am philosophical about it all no point getting stressed about the house and my aunt has been in so much pain it sounds horrible to say it but at least she will soon be pain free. 4y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Today's stop looks to have some places to explore. Today was a little less hot thanks to some rain so the pup and I took a nearly 90 minute walk exploring the extended neighborhood. Work is mostly paperwork so, quiet but manageable. Baseball is BACK! I never have the TV on midday but for Mets opening day I've made an exception. @BookwormM I am so sorry about your aunt. I hope you get a chance to visit. The shrinking garden made me laugh! 😆 4y

Tove_Reads Volunteered at a beer festival and then I drank free beers the whole night. Now I‘m at home with a hyper dog who thinks I need to play with him. I only want to read, but I guess that‘ll have to wait for tomorrow... 4y

CocoReads Less hot and humid here and I was off work so it‘s been pretty relaxing. I‘m having trouble with my right eye again but a warm compress has helped a lot but I‘m going to see if I can get in to the eye dr next week when I‘m off just to make sure there‘s nothing seriously wrong with it. I work this weekend and then 3 glorious days off! 4y

TheSpineView Not much going here today. It was cloudy most of the day and about 2:30pm it decided to start raining and still is an hour later. A nice change for the heat and humidity. Though the humid is still around. 4y

kezzlou85 Finished schooling which I'm quite glad about. Found out my eldest got lots of mentions in her school newsletter for her work. So been a good one. 4y

CocoReads Not bad. Busy-ish day at work and I have just under 2 hours to go. It‘s a quick turnaround night for me though so I‘ll be back in less than 12. Local school district has changed plans to start the school year with elearning, which I think is the right choice but they‘re planning on slowly transitioning kids back into the buildings after about 3 weeks. That‘s not long enough but my kids are grown so I don‘t really have a say. 4y

TrishB Bogged down in work stuff. Worked all day yesterday and 7-7 today. Tired and not yet done. Exam Board week. 4y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick More of beautiful Wales 😍❤ Fairly quiet work day with just some routine calls and paperwork. About another hour or so of work before I can call it quits for the day. Going to meet up with my mom & uncle at his house for a while just to visit. Neither are chatty on the phone so seeing them in person will be good. Dad might be around if he's not working at my brother's house. @Andrew65 How is the arm feeling today? Better I hope. 4y

CocoReads Relatively quiet today at work which was nice but it also went by pretty fast. Getting ready to leave now and hit the store on my way home. This is my week of alternating early and late shifts so I don‘t have to be back until later tomorrow. 4y

TrishB Feeling very overwhelmed at the moment! Have final exam boards this week, results out next week, progression boards next week, results the week after. Have to advise on new regs, write resit guidance and draft something to respond to office for students expectations for communicating changes to students coming next year. It‘s my appraisal next wk, ironic that I haven‘t had time to fill in the paperwork. 4y

tracey38 I had an ok day. Work went fairly well. Mondays are our slow days and they just get busier as the week goes on. But I got to leave early. I had a telephone appointment this afternoon with my PCP, but left an hour earlier, which was scheduled time off, because I just needed the break. ❤ to all! 4y

IamIamIam Love these gorgeous coastlines!!! I feel like I'm just repeating myself but they're so beautiful! Had to take my son for new sneakers today because the old ones are a size & a half too small!! 😬 We waited an hour to get in the store, only to find out that the shoes were different sizes once I got home. 🤦‍♀️ Back in the car for another trip... stick a fork in me!!! 🤣 Love to everyone today!!! 4y

CocoReads @Andrew65 I‘ve never had to alternate for a full week before so we‘ll see how it goes. I almost always do a close and then open once a week so I imagine it‘ll be fine but slightly more exhausting. 4y

Today we‘ve moved from Cardigan to the Abbey at Saint Dogmaels and then on to Poppit.

How was the end of the weekend for you? We relaxed this morning with some reading, them a late afternoon drive to the coast (after the crowds) and now sat looking out to sea from the car.

TheBookHippie Busy ...towns around us set on fire not by our protesters- who were peaceful and back home before out of state people came and looted and burned ... my town is threatened tonight. Word just went out to please stay home and shelter in place. So yah ...otherwise I just keep painting things. And keeping track of all loved ones and the kids I mentor. 4y

CocoReads Relaxing pictures. I spent most of last night up with a migraine so I haven‘t done much of anything today. Some light reading, a bit of tidying, a nap. 🤞 I get through the upcoming week with a minimum of headaches. 4y

CocoReads @TheBookHippie I‘ll keep you and your town in my thoughts. Our protest last. Igor was very peaceful, according to my friend that watched the live feed. But I have a friend in Vegas who lives right where their protests are and her pictures are very unsettling. 4y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick So happy you got some more relaxation today and a trip to the sea! This weekend was relaxing but heavy on the TV watching. My guy was feeling a little off, so we stayed in & mostly had couch time, with a little cleaning done here & there and some walks with the dog. @TheBookHippie I hope you & your life ones can remain safe. I'm glad a protest in nearby Newark was rather peaceful & hoping the one in town Friday is, too. 4y

Wow! Loved this massive and amusing depiction of books in a shopping centre in Cardiff. I think you could listen to some of them through earphones but wasn't open to check.
