IndoorDame If by modern you mean 4th wave and not some more specific term I‘m not familiar with, then my own renewed interest in feminism is due to a book club reading Good and Mad 7ish years ago. It turned into a consciousness raising session, and sparked me down a path that inspired lots of other reading. It does focus too much on white women, but it‘s an easy read for nonfiction, and the author‘s passion really comes through. 2mo

I didn't fully understand all of the questions. I went through pretending it was a timed test otherwise I would over think everything and analyse the language used.

I don't agree with the cultural and eco feminism bits. I read through the descriptions at the end of the quiz and those don't align with my views at all

Graywacke I‘m not as feminist as I thought. Some questions were incoherent to me. I got 96% on woc feminism, and 79% for radical feminism, but only 20 % for cultural feminism! (Wish I knew what that meant). 70% intersectional feminism. I don‘t know what that means either. 0% conservatism - which might indicate it‘s an American-test. In the us, i‘m left, but it‘s a really conservative country. In other places I‘m surely more centric. 3mo

Graywacke Ecofeminism partial: “They place an emphasis on the identity of the woman linked to Mother Earth with many believing that only women (or feminine values) can show us a geunine alternative to the ecologically and socially destructive system we are living in.” I see my issue here. I don‘t think gender makes a difference ecologically or in non-gender-related social issues (war and economics). I imagine people are people. 😁 (i should mute myself) 3mo

Lin3han @Graywacke I saw eco feminism as more of a reflection of capitalism and the late stages we see currently. So much of capital is patriarchal and the climate crisis is linked to capitalism and corporate greed. Most of the climate issues we are seeing are from male dominated corporations. The only exception I can think of is Taylor Swift‘s insane fuel emissions from her private jet. I‘m sure there‘s other stuff I‘m just not familiar with though! 2mo

Lin3han I didn‘t even know lesbian feminism existed until I took this quiz. It was really interesting to think of things in that way as a bisexual woman! 2mo

TheBookHippie @Lin3han yes it‘s a shame it‘s not taught or/and that people don‘t know the history of feminism and its many facets (like the Lavender Menace) it is part of the problem- I personally believe knowledge and education lead to at least some understanding-acceptance or I‘m a hopeful old hippie 🙃. 2mo

Lin3han @TheBookHippie oh yes I know a lot of Queer history I just didn‘t realize it was a whole subsection of feminism. I always thought it would only be intersectional feminism and not specifically lesbian! I‘m now gonna go down a rabbit hole to learn more 😊 2mo

I‘ve not spent much time reading or on Litsy lately. Dad died in Jan & I moved Mum into care in July. Dementia afflicted them both & sibling conflict has added stress 😢. My fab eldest sister came to stay last week and was a powerhouse, getting the family home ready for sale to provide for Mum‘s care 🙏❤️.

This post is not book related, but it‘s definitely reading that helps get me through.
