We‘re watching Hurricane Dorian, because we‘re in the cone. While it currently looks as if landfall will be north of us, our present prediction is over 70% for tropical storm strength winds. We‘ll start preparations tomorrow. At least we aren‘t watching the storm from England, as we did two years ago.

PurpleyPumpkin Take care of yourselves! Yeesh, I can't even imagine what you must be going through. I'll be thinking about you.💜 2w

Kappadeemom Where are you located? We are on the Ga/Fl border near Tallahassee. I work in the Panhandle, so quite worried. 2w

Lynnsoprano @Kappadeemom We‘re in Palm Beach County, about half way between the coast and Lake Okeechobee. Our son is in Orlando, and he‘s worried, too. 2w
Jas16 Will be keeping you in my thoughts 2w
Kappadeemom @Lynnsoprano I was in Orlando earlier today and heard they were already running out of supplies. I just want this thing to TURN. 2w
Lynnsoprano @Kappadeemom Amen! Wishing you good luck. Keep in touch. 2w
AmyK1 My son and his girlfriend are close to West Palm Beach. They just moved to FL in May so this is their first hurricane there. Her mom and I are tempted to drive down there and drag them back to SC 😞 Stay safe! (edited) 2w
CarolynM Stay safe 2w
Lynnsoprano @AmyK1 We must be close to them; we‘re in Wellington in Palm Beach County. It‘s a scary one. My brother said we should fly out to stay with them in California, but too late to find a flight pretty much anywhere. Storm shutters go up tomorrow. 2w
Lynnsoprano @Kappadeemom I agree! But I don‘t think Mother Nature is listening to us. 2w
AmyK1 @Lynnsoprano Very close! They are in Wellington too. I‘m 8 hours away in Columbia and not at all happy that they aren‘t leaving to come back here. But you can‘t tell 20 year olds anything 🤷‍♀️ 2w
