Today the silent reading event took place in the local art museum. It was a little bit weird reading there while others looked at the exhibits. I bet some of them thought I was an installation. 😂

I was knocked out for the past two days and could not post this. On Sunday I went to the silent reading event again. Now it‘s a fixed appointment in my calender that I don‘t miss it. It was raining cats and dogs but I went anyway like the hard core of the group. It was very pleasant but I had to face the consequences because I caught a cold on the way there. 🙈

Today was abother event of the Silent Reading. This time it took place in the natural history museum of Solthurn. It was quite nice to read between animals and rock formations. 😊

So I went to the silent reading event again - this time it took place in an baroque palace which hosts a museum of curiosities. 🤗🤗🤗

Ruthiella Do you find it conducive to reading? I feel like I would spend more time seeing what others are reading than paying attention to my own book. 😅 7mo

MariaW @Ruthiella I checked the titles of the others but there wasn‘t anything interesting for me. So I enjoyed the two hours reading silently and once in a while sipping my coffee. 😊 7mo

This Saturday I found that there is a silent reading group in the town nearby. The initiator did not have time to read a lot during the work week, so she set up the group an instagram for people like her. They are meeting once a month. Their next meeting took place on Sunday in a beautiful “Lusthäuschen” (intranslatable ?) - of course I went there. ?

Millesent How wonderful! I am here in the USA. We have a bookstore in Orange California, called Book Carnival. They will be doing a book signing in September with 4 Australian authors. Here I am on Litsy and look what I found, Something about Australians! I think it is a sign. 5y
