@kgriffith dress twins! Another Sunday, another morning of low grade terror that I‘m going to fail at this Sunday School thing and the kids are going to eat me alive. I know they‘re not, at least not my regulars, but we had a close call with a guest on Easter so.

Dragon Good luck 🤗 5y

Sunday mornings when half your household has to be at church wicked early: some fun reading and a little extra lesson prep. Slowly but surely I‘m getting the hang of this Children‘s Church thing. And I‘m even wanting to grow our little program to include teens and service projects. Not too bad for someone who still thinks of herself as agnostic.

Caterina Ayyy the Spark Bible! Is it a Lutheran church? I hope you do get some more programming going. 😊 My favorite things about the church are the community and service aspects. 💕 5y
bookishkai @Caterina it‘s a Christian church (Disciples of Christ, which to quote the pastor is like “the least church-y of the Christian denominations”). And it‘s typical Colorado, which means super laid back. It‘s a new church, so still growing the population, but I love all my kids. 5y
bookishkai And I love the Spark Bible, it‘s great for me too, not just the kids. Especially because I have limited bible experience. We changed churches when I was 11 and they put a bible in my hands and I had no clue how to even find the verses. 5y
Caterina Ah, the Spark Bible is published by the Lutheran church (ELCA) is why I asked, so we use it at my church too (where I'm the assistant youth and family ministries director). It's a pretty great resource, although I find I'm never 100% happy with every part of children's Bibles. 😂 So glad you're enjoying working with the kids! 😊 5y
TheBookHippie We use Spark Bible too! 5y
