The Dreadful Fate of Jonathan York
The Dreadful Fate of Jonathan York: A Yarn for the Strange at Heart | Kory Merritt
11 posts | 4 read | 2 to read
Jonathan York has led a boring life a pointless degree from the community college, a lackluster job at the General Store, and never any desire for something more exciting. But when fate leaves him stranded in a sinister land, he finds himself seeking an adventure of his own. Along the way he encounters ghoulish thieves, ravenous swamp monsters, a dastardly ice cream conspiracy, and a necromancer bent on human sacrifice. In this beautifully illustrated, four-color novel, Jonathan York's life takes a decidedly spooky turn!

This book uses black and green to display the book. It is an amazing graphic novel!

This book was had a good twist on a graphic novel. It was darker but the story line was good and not too scary.

A great book for Al round Halloween. Full of confronting fears of monsters and thieves. This is a unique book that includes drawing which are surrounded by text. It is not set up as a comic. The pictures are eerie and dark.

I think this book is good pick for children who like a spooky and artistic interest. It dives into monsters and conspiracies. It‘s funny and I think older children would definitely like to read it during Halloween.

I borrowed this #graphicnovel in #libby . The cover is dark upon opening it and then lights up with various eyes every couple of seconds...so cool! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jonathan finds himself alone in a swamp at night & needs a place to stay 4 the night to escape the monsters. He comes across a place with a little help, but it'll cost him something to stay. Does he have the pmt or will he sleep w/ the monsters??

Got a few graphic novels at the library today. They're part of my picture book challenge. I've always been a sucker for a comic book so what's better than a graphic novel?!? It's a comic and a book in one!
