Unfortunately I just didn't enjoy this one very much. I liked the idea of the main character making magical toys for the children though.

One from my Kindle #TBR with #Poison in the title & the first in a cozy series. I don‘t know if I‘ll get to it this month with so many other books to read for #TeamMonsterMash

I wasn't sure about the idea behind this book when I started it, but I actually ended up loving it. It was a light, quirky read. There wasn't too much to the story, but that was okay. The mystery was easy to figure out, but watching it all unfold and be discovered is where the story is at anyway.
I'm really curious as to where the rest of the series goes. This one was intriguing. I especially liked the introduction to the cat themed town.

☕So I've been diagnosed with post covid_19 something, Doctors say they don't know for how long will last; it would be a year this May since I had it. That makes 1 more thing to worry about besides the side effects of my treatment. I'm staying positive. Keeping my mind busy, focusing on other things. Meditating & over all reading!
🌼📖🌼Happy Friday Reading Everyone!
I liked that in this story, Amber‘s use of magic was both spells as well as potions. I can‘t say that I appreciated all the ways that she used her supernatural skills in order to get the information she wanted because it was kind of underhanded. I am hoping in the future she can expand her repertoire as well as cement friendships with locals so that they can assist in her investigations. Overall it was a great series starter.
Starting this one today! How cute is this cover?? 😻
