She is an author I am so glad I discovered this year! I love the noble and regular folk relationships and she does the power balance so well. This book was fantastic. I loved how the over protected and sheltered woman quickly recovered from her shock and did what she wanted. Mason, a general, agrees to marry her for the title for a future child, but has no plans to have a real relationship. It was sweet and fun to see how she grew on him.

Jemgirl2014 I really loved this one too! 😊 2y

This book was even better than the first. I love the middle class characters rather than lords and ladies in an historical romance. I listened to this on audio and enjoyed the narration. The story and setting were unique.Lizzie is kicked out of her home for standing up for what‘s right which leads to her marrying prizefighter Benedict.Their relationship starts off rocky as they travel the fair circuit in which Benedict fights and Lizzie gets a job.

I looked for historical romance that included middle class couples and this book was recommended.

Minerva is left destitute when her father dies. Her half brother steps in and marries her to a pub owner and prizefighter. The way Minerva stands up for herself with everyone was wonderful and I loved how strong and down to earth she was. William Nye was a grumpy guy who didn‘t think he was good enough and I loved how their relationship progressed.

A fun Medieval #romantsy featuring Fennella who goes to court to try to prevent her absentee husband from divorcing her, only to find herself married to Oswald, the King‘s spymaster.

Not the tagged book but a wonderful alternate. Lenora (once the most beautiful woman at court) has her look destroyed by a plague. She then decides to become more than a pretty face and take destiny into her own hands. I don‘t usually read Medieval #romantsy but this one was really terrific.
