#Love is this guy, a picnic, and lucking out with an empty stretch of beach. I've mostly been doing well with continuing to stay home but I've really missed Michigan's gorgeous waters! Yesterday we ventured out late in the day to see if we could find a place along Lake Huron where we felt comfortable stopping to swim, and lo and behold, this deserted patch was waiting for us! #BeautifulWords #MittenLitten

JamieArc Michigan lakes are one of the best things about summer in Michigan 😊 We have been taking vacation days during the week so the beach is a bit less busy (and having a beach tent has been immensely helpful too). Enjoy! #mittenlitten 4y

Alfoster @CoverToCoverGirl Awww, thanks for asking! I‘m fine. Recovery from hip replacement was more difficult than I imagined as I don‘t do well with pain meds. So I unplugged from social media for awhile. Still reading up a storm so look for me in the near future. Thanks for your sweet message!❤️ 4y

Crazeedi I had hip replacement in January, I know what you are going through! 4y

Alfoster @Crazeedi Surgeon said it was easy (for him maybe)! Just hated the whole “hip protocol” where you can‘t bend over, etc! Hope you are doing well!🤞 4y

Crazeedi @Alfoster I'm doing fine, had other hip done 10 years ago, it's perfect. This new one is still not strong like my other one, I have to be careful, but I'm also 10 years older! Lol 4y

Fridameetslucy @Alfoster yes. I‘m working on huge panels of bird murmurations now. Just got out of hospital and think I want to try your pic as a double exposure drawing - basically one big pencil drawing laid on top of another like an old school black and white double exposure. 4y

1. Going to the beach! Although there's only about 1 day a year where you can actually swim in the sea without coming down with hypothermia 😂
2. Drinking mugs of hot chocolate...and being able to justify it! ☕
3. In the sun - to make the most of it while it lasts! 🌞
