pickThis is a compelling story full of heartache. Once I was three-quarters of they way through, I began to feel it was too much. If you can think of a traumatic domestic situation, it is here. While I found no relief from the horrors in this book, my heart went out to those whose lives are like this. The characters are well drawn, and the setting is beautifully rendered. This is not for readers who are sensitive to domestic and sexual violence.
