Anger Management for Dummies | 
I'm normally a very patient person (really!) but the roller coaster that has been my life since September have been trying and my students... the students, they are trying my frayed nerves. On Saturday, the day I buried my mother, I got 27 seperate actionnable emails from students, on top of the others that were not important. About a thing I said in class 4. An extension on a paper due week 9, 6 weeks ago. I have visions of violence. Help me.

ljuliel I‘m sorry life is so difficult for you right now. I think , sometimes, when we have a lot going on in our personal lives, everything else seems to irritate us even more than normal. ( At least that‘s how I am ). You sometimes feel like a cup that has too much water in it, but people keep on pouring more into it, so it overflows. Will you be getting a long break for the holidays ? Maybe that‘ll give you time to regroup a bit. Hang in there. 4y
tournevis @ljuliel Your words help a lot. 😘 I'm getting three weeks officially, but one of them is prep for the winter semester and one week is family coming over to stay in my house for the holidays. So break, yes, but not as much as I need, sagly. 4y
ljuliel Could you possibly cut the week down a few days this year ? I think everyone would understand if you‘re a bit too overwhelmed. Just tell them you need a break. The ones that stay should chip in with all the work, or better yet, maybe stay in a hotel so you can have some peace. 4y
tournevis @ljuliel I wish I could, but they all want to “come together just us“ for a change and I have the biggest house. Also, they don't listen. My sister invited my aunt to my house for the holidays in front of me without asking first. 4y
ljuliel That would make my head explode. No one should invite people to stay in YOUR house unless YOU invite them. Let your sister keep the Aunt at her house. These family get togethers get on my last nerve. We don‘t do them any longer because of it. 4y
