On Crosswords
On Crosswords: Thoughts, Studies, Facts and Snark About a 100-Year-Old Pastime | T. Campbell
1 post | 2 read
On Crosswords covers three major, interrelated topics: crossword history, kinds of crosswords and how crosswords relate to everything else. Readers will meet the personalities who have made the art form what it is today, and walk away with the most complete understanding of the form that any single book can give.

Anyone else into the NYT #crossword? I‘ve always loved word puzzles and one of my “pandemic hobbies” has been doing the NYT crossword everyday. I haven‘t missed a puzzle since Dec 2020! My time and solving ability have definitely improved, but I‘m still pretty slow compared to most crossword enthusiasts 🤓. I also love doing the daily Spelling Bee 🐝

Ruthiella I love crossword puzzles. Especially the Sunday ones, because they are so big and usually challenging in a fun way. 3y
Nerdfins I love crosswords! I do prefer the easier ones, because sometimes I want a slight challenge but not enough to be frustrating. 3y
sarahbellum @Ruthiella @Nerdfins I‘m pretty sure my solving success has more to do with my stubbornness than my intelligence 😂. The more frustrated I get, the more I want to solve the damn thing hahaha 3y
BookishMarginalia Love crosswords but hate gimmicks like the rebus 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3y
