As per question 4 of @egg's #wonderouswednesday yesterday, here is a link to a great vid about making root beer ice cream. https://youtu.be/LLOjg56ZKaM
I also recommend the tagged but unrelated cookbook.
Lynnsoprano That was absolutely the best of the Frugal Gourmet cookbooks, although his book on the cooking of different ethnic ancestors was excellent, too. I still use recipes from both. 5y

tournevis @Lynnsoprano I don't want to sound pretentious, but I don't know how to say it otherwise, but FG, Chef Pasquale and the Urban Peasant taught me so well with their shows ans books, I don't really need the books anymore. I just do like they did and throw stuff together. They were that good teachers. 5y

Lynnsoprano @tournevis I know what you mean. My hubby always says, “it‘s only a guideline.” Yeah, it‘s basic concepts or ideas that are my starting point. And my all time favorite food quote is from FG: if your lover doesn‘t like garlic, get another lover😂 5y
tournevis @Lynnsoprano Chef Pasquale was the same. With more wine drinking and impromptu bel canto. 😋 5y
