1. The biggest change is definitely working at home - as a an adult probation agent, it‘s been wild going virtual...
2. Self care is keeping my sane. I restarted a running program in May and it has helped me manage my anxiety.
3. I read more than I planned, 31 more books than the 75 I set as a goal.
4. I think the author of the Golem snd the Jinni has a new book coming which I think was postponed due to the pandemic.

Y‘all.

Hubby told me he set up the kettle and my mug, so all I had to do was reheat the water and pour. So I did, also trying to get the kid out of her warm bed.

Several minutes later (still no sign of the kid) I tried to pull out the tea bag but couldn‘t find it. Sniffed my tea, smells like nothing. Turn on the brighter kitchen light. I‘ve been steeping hot water. Nothing in it.

Gonna be a long day.

Clare-Dragonfly Better than the time I microwaved a mug with a teabag and no water 🤦🏻‍♀️ 4y

ravenlee Like an idiot, I threw the teabag into the water that had been sitting for ten minutes and was no longer hot enough to steep...then microwaved it. It worked, kinda. Told hubby about it later when he stopped in at lunch, and he got the water going in the kettle again. I did it properly, and it was amazing how different it was! 😂 The rest of my day went about as expected from that beginning. 4y

📘 I am TheSpineView on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram if you wish to follow me. Also on GoodReads .
📘 Nope! I am not a good writer.
📘 Besides reading and blogging about books, I play the piano, like to garden, do horseback riding when I get a chance, and dabble at painting.
📘 I would love to learn another language.

wanderinglynn Thanks for playing! 💜 5y

I don‘t think I‘ve ever done a #thursdaysurvey before.

1. Hot weather. Bring on the 40° afternoons!

2. I dunno. I‘m excited for Annabeth Albert‘s next Alaska book, but that‘s out in late spring, not in summer.

3. Cherries!!!!! I also like to drink Tsingtao when it gets really hot.

4. The air temperature hit 42.2 in 1936, while humidex climbed to 48 in 2007. That was a durned good summer.

5. Y‘all know tagging people makes me anxious.

BarbaraTheBibliophage Yes cherries!! 🍒 5y
xicanti @BarbaraTheBibliophage I can‘t wait to buy a big bag and dig in! 5y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @xicanti Yes! I also need to find some sour cherries and make pie! 5y
