P132 It is a humiliating, debasing, demeaning life this nation condemns on poor disabled persons.

p149. Why is it that some people are so quick to join the death-is-the-answer position when it comes to disablement...? I can only surmise that these nob-stabled people fear disablement so much that they automatically assume that they are doing us a favor by supporting our right to die.

Pickpick

ADA, legal struggles for civil rights, employment, social security, housing, mobility, healthcare & poverty to darker subjects like incarceration, institutionalization, eugenics, bodies as raw material. Hurricane Katrina chapter =heartbreaker. Often repetitive, missing context or specific examples, but trace the footnotes I guess? Co-written chapters stronger. A bit dated (Russell died in 2013) but revelatory—strong arguments & strong voice. 2019

Thanks for the tag @Emilymdxn 😘 Now that my headache is gone I'm finally getting around to it!
1. Reading a ton before starting my Master of Divinity! And in August moving across the country to Berkeley!
2. The tagged essay collection from Haymarket Books.
3. Hmm I'm not much of a snack person, but either fancy cheese or hummus.
4. Apparently 110°F/43°C. 🥵
5. I'm so late, anyone who wants to do it!
