It was one of those "see what you can find" expeditions, rather than going with a specific shopping list.
So, three more copies of the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám to add to the many I already have. Need? No. Want? Yes! (Need? ? Actually, yes!) The orange edition has another of FitzGerald's translations & a short prose piece that I've not read, so that's the one I'll read first; the red one I now think I already have, but at £1.50 it was ⬇️

Bookwomble ... worth the gamble, and I'll gift it; the purple one is in quite bad condition, but has a couple of lovely, intact plates.
The sci-fi section of the shop is big, and often double-shelved, so it took a while to work through.
Knight of Shadows is the next I need in the Amber series, so that was a fortuitous find.
Vultures of Whapeton trades heavily on Howard's Conan fame, even going so far as to brand itself SF, but these are all pulp westerns, ⬇️ 2mo

Bookwomble ... without any hint of the supernatural.
The two others are sci fi short story collections with some classic authors contributing. I particularly like the cover of Space, Time & Crime, which is a genre-mash as the title suggests.

I'm using up a few stray days of annual leave this week, and on a whim decided to drive up the coast to Morecambe for a stroll along the prom and a visit to the tagged shop. The algae-covered slipway, thick shore mud, grey sea and drizzle was less than inviting, but the shop on the other hand 😍📚
