The Baby-Sitters Club #13: Good-Bye Stacey, Good-Bye
The Baby-Sitters Club #13: Good-Bye Stacey, Good-Bye | Ann M. Martin
3 posts | 16 read
The hit series is back, to charm and inspire another generation of baby-sitters! Oh no! Stacey McGill is moving back to New York! That means no more Stoneybrook Middle School, no more Charlotte Johanssen, and worst of all . . . no more Baby-sitters Club! Claudia is crushed that her best friend is moving away. How will the BSC cope without Stacey? What kind of going-away present is good enough for someone as special as she is? And now . . . who could fill her shoes as the next member of the Baby-sitters Club? The best friends you'll ever have--with classic BSC covers and a letter from Ann M. Martin!

I picked this up because I have officially run out of graphic novel adaptations to read before season 2 of the Netflix show (which is great) arrives. We don't yet know when that will be or which books the show is going to adapt, so I chose a few of the novels that I think make sense for season 2. I thought I might be weird to pick up a novel after reading only the first novel and the rest in graphic novel format, but that was not the case at all.

I only got one BSC book from the library this time instead of my usual three, because I was having trouble finding others through the inter-library loan system. Hopefully they‘ll show up at some point! This one was a good read for any kid who has had to move or had a friend move away. Stacey showed how you can be both excited about moving but also sad about leaving what you know. I wish there was more focus on that & less side plot stuff. 3/5 ⭐️

I‘m still binge reading this series and still liking it. This one went by fast as well. It‘s pretty sad seeing a member move away but soon we get a new member coming in.

MatchlessMarie I read these sporadically and out of order as a kid like a monster. I probably need to start from #1 like a normal person 😂 6y
BookishGirl06 @MatchlessMarie I did the same thing. Now that I‘m older I‘m actually trying to do them in order 6y
