My reads lately have been heavy, so heavy that I had to set a couple aside, including a Marlon James book that I really wanted to read, but it just was too much when I need some escapism right now.

So! I grabbed a Jeannie Lin novel since she has a good balance between realistic grittiness and human connections.

Aaaaand the Firefly novel. How could I not? 😁

I didn't enjoy this one as much as My Fair Concubine. I didn't connect with the characters as well.
