The day is finally here! I was handed the keys to my brand new Barnes & Noble, and it was book delivery day! I am literally in heaven!
Six days until our Grand opening….. so much hard graft ahead for me and my team in the next six days (and beyond) and I just cannot wait!

KarenUK @squirrelbrain well... new concept for B&N is going to mean much more like a Waterstones. Our CEOs are now the same. Currently B&Ns are “superstores” stocking lots more than books. Big toy departments and a large Discount book section. 3y

KarenUK @squirrelbrain New concept means much smaller, brighter, a more modern feel decor wise.... almost only books, no discount section... very small amount of toys/gift etc.... hoping it feels more ‘independent‘ and tailored to the needs of each community. Not a one bookstore fits all mentality. 3y

squirrelbrain That sounds like a great concept to me... the Waterstones in the UK do feel more like independent bookstores these days, even though we all know they‘re not! Good luck with it all! 😘 3y
