Charles Stone appears to be dead. He wakes up to find bulletholes in his chest, and a (ghost) dog by his side, but he has no memory of how he died. With Rose, the dog, he sets out to investigate what happened to him, & get to grips with this new #afterlife experience.

Nice premise: Charles Stone wakes up to find himself dead. With his new companion, a dog (also presumably dead), he sets out to find out what happened on his last day, while getting used to this whole being dead thing.
And if you want bookish death quotes, this has oodles. I think it's a decent read, but it's just not grabbing me right now.
Just to be clear, these are some of the options that may or may not happen. I'm not actually planning on reading all of this lot this month! Some are in progress, some are quite high on the tbr. #feistyfeb #tbr #ro17
Possibly not my usual sort of crime novel - but it came through my Fahrenheit Press subscription, so I'm giving it a go and enjoying it so far! A dead man and a dead dog roaming the streets of Hollywood.
