I won a $50 gift card & spent $35 of it at BN to get this book. I took the course a couple summers ago that covered the excavations, science, and afterward of the Battle of Dunbar. My great grandmother was the last Dunbar in her line, the female only child of a long line of male only children. I have a fair number of Scottish ancestors, but always feel closest to the Dunbar name. So many died at Durham. Many of my male ancestors survived hell. 😢
