Bailedbailed

Sorry, another quick bail for me. The story is told in two plots having different timelines but I really have trouble with the second one obviously set shortly before World War II. I can‘t relate to Dorothy.
Roberta is quite likeable but the two plots don‘t intertwine well.
Already after 40 pages I‘m confused because the changes in time are so harsh and so few about the late 1930‘s is really explained

Good idea, poorly worked out. 🤷ğŸ½â€â™€ï¸

Surprising how prejudiced I seemingly am although, had you asked me five minutes ago I would have denied it heavily.

A woman alludes being pregnant but drinks two Gin Tonic in one go. All I can think of is “How can sheâ‰ï¸â€œ 😠 and then, half a page later it turns out that she is going to have an abortion just the next day.
I am okay with abortions but that simply isn‘t the first thing coming to my mind when I hear of a pregnancy. Is that educationâ“

Folks‼ï¸

I just cleared out some of the books on my online library‘s wish list. Felt pretty good.

julesG liberating, right?! 5y
Buechersuechtling @julesG Yepp. I don‘t know where that feeling of “Oh,-I-put-that-on-my-wish-list-about-four-years-ago-but-meanwhile-I-don‘t-think-that-it‘s-interesting-anymore-but,-no,-I-can‘t-cross-it-from my-list-because-maybe-I-choose it-next-time.†comes from. 🙄 It‘s codswallop. So: Yeah. You don‘t know how much. 😂🤷ğŸ½â€â™€ï¸ (edited) 5y
