Great prose, great style, great story! Guay-Poliquin has created a fictional world that just sucks you in. Highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Two strangers trapped together in a tiny forest village by a brutal winter, dependent upon each other for survival. Trust is a fickle thing.

I had to force myself to slow down! I‘m so glad I picked this book up on a whim. The writing is poetic, which means the translation is excellent!

My annual mother‘s day book haul. 😄 It is tradition to head over to Northfield, MN for Indian lunch and bookstore browsing. Yay for Content books!

P.S. the kids got several graphic novels, so technically they fared better than me. In particular they love Raina Telgemeier‘s novels so much I gave in and bought them instead of borrowing again.
