This MF by Kelly Barnhill is an award winning book which won the Newbery Medal award. It is about a girl who is raised by a witch and develops magical powers because she was fed moonlight by accident. This book gives a good lesson of hope and that things are not always what they seem.

fquadri This book can be good for LC because it is very engaging and there are many event that take place in each chapter and so discussing with LC would be a good way to get different opinions.
EL strategy 2 can be used so that students can have group discussions and UDL strategy 2.1 can be used to decode difficult words that occur in the book.
