Just got this beauty in the mail from a Goodreads giveaway, the cover of the actual release is so beautiful and gold, but this is also pretty. I‘ve heard good things, can‘t wait to get into it.

pickThis book is broken into six chapters, each told from the point of view of a different member of a Cambodian family, that jump backward and forward in time. At only about 200 pages there is a lot of pain and struggle in their stories but there is also a lot of strength and hope, especially in the tale of the youngest daughter.
