I‘m calling this a success 🥳☺️

Today was not a productive day but it did contain an above average amount of cheese and these yum yum balls - so I‘m not bothered.

Who knew there was so much cool stuff hiding behind my tv? Why have I never used this plate? I feel like I want to bake some biscuits and start flaunting this plate 😂

I‘ve probably had this for 5ish years - it was a thank you for being a regular speaking at book talks (the adult services librarian struggled to get staff willing to talk). I miss the old days when you actually felt appreciated for stepping up.

Alfoster Nice!👍 2y
LibrarianRyan It;s a plate! I was staring at it trying to figure out what it was. Love it. 2y

#MarchIntoOz #day12 #Misfits Cold Chisel are in my Top3 Aussie bands of all time & this is my fave song. It‘s not as well known as Khe Sanh but it evokes memories of teenage summers in early 80s Sydney. Written by Don Walker it was to be used in a doco about western suburbs kids which never eventuated & was a b-side to My Baby. Puberty Blues is also about growing up in Sydney in the 70s, full of surfers, panel vans & teenage romance & angst.

Lizpixie If you want to understand what I mean about the song, the video on YouTube is of the band in the studio cut with film from the failed documentary. It pretty much sums up my teens.👱🏼‍♀️ 6y
Cinfhen Tube tops, clubbing, surf & skate.....sounds 😇😇😇 6y
Lizpixie @Cinfhen I grew up in the western suburbs. Blacktown was one of the poorest areas of Sydney. We didn‘t have much but my memories are full of days in the sun, water fights, swimming in the river, beaches, ice cream, running riot with my friends. It was a great childhood (edited) 6y

Cinfhen Sounds like a “rich” childhood ❤️ 6y
Lizpixie @Cinfhen it was pretty idyllic. I‘m not saying it was perfect by any means, when I was 4yrs old my dad got injured at work so my parents had to raise 5 kids on a $120 a month compo cheque, I have no idea how they did it but we were fed, clean & had a roof over our heads so compared to some, we were very lucky. I‘d call us rich, yeah.👫👫👫 What was your childhood like? 6y
Cinfhen I was so blessed, my dad was a successful attorney, my mom was like Clare Huxtable - we were raised in a loving home, where our parents were part of a community that was tight knit 😊little league baseball, ballet class, potluck dinners & bbq‘s 6y
