Mehso-so

My first #bookspin completion! It was…

Interesting to get more insight into the thinking of the men who created and then advocated for the Constitution.
Disheartening that we've drifted so far away from their ideals, especially since it's mostly been a "creep" and not specific legislation.

It falls short of what it could be. It would have been so much better to have a final chapter or epilogue that gives ideas for what to do now. ⬇️

jimfields3 Contacting my goverment officials with the request to act/govern/serve more "Constitutionally" will have limited--if any--effect. What is a concerned citizen to do on the 364 days other than Election Day? Some ideas would have been great. (There were a few ideas scattered throughout the book; a concentrated treatment would have been much more effective.) 2y

I‘d like to say I‘m excited about what #bookspin chose for me this month, but I wouldn‘t be truthful. But the point is to get books off our to-read list, right @TheAromaofBooks 😁

TheAromaofBooks Good luck!!! 2y
TheAromaofBooks (And sometimes it's just the push you need to realize that the reason you aren't excited about a book is because the book isn't for you... so remember that DNFs count!! 😁) 2y
jimfields3 Thanks @TheAromaofBooks for the encouragement! 2y
