I hope to finish this one today... I am reading the short stories between other books (one at a time) as I have found that they need much more attention than my usual readings. Don't you find some authors are 'quicker' to read than others? This one is a trafic jam speed read for me ;)
I had never read the turn of the screw... But I must admit the style is a little heavy so I am reading the short stories one by one in between other books
Ok I am all set to give Henry James another shot before I completely write him off as not for me. In reality i only intend to read 6 of his short stories/novellas but of course they couldn't all be in the same book 🤷♀️🤦♀️🤓
After watching the Haunting of Bly Manor I have come to the conclusion that maybe I haven't given Henry James a fair chance. I didn't really enjoy Turn of the Screw but I am wiling to give the other short stories used for the tv show a shot before I completely give up on him.
