Pickpick

Such an enjoyable read - for the mystery, the Cambridge setting and the delightful asides such as the one above. It's quite an old fashioned murder mystery, so much so that I was surprised to see it was first published in 1993. Thanks @PatriciaU - it was your review that made me add it to my TBR.

LeahBergen Vacuous conversation - exactly! And I also binge on all their “vacuous” magazines while I‘m there. 😆 4y
Crazeedi Sounds very interesting, putting in my tbr journal! Thanks! 4y
PatriciaU So glad you enjoyed it. Imogen is one of my favorite sleuths. I so wish these would be made into a series. Paton Walsh seems to have tossed Imogen aside in favor of Harriet and Lord peter, though.... 4y

I was recently reminded of this brief and scarce little series from a favorite author and managed to get my hands on all three. Imogen Quy (rhymes with Why) is a character made for a Masterpiece series, and I cannot imagine a better job than the Wyndham Librarian! On to book 2, A Piece of Justice....

CarolynM Sounds great. Stacked. 5y
