I just did a quick research on that book @JennyM Post about because what‘s your road made me curious. I found out that, of course, my library doesn‘t have it in stock so I wanted to take a look at Litsy is data base entry.

Anyone else smiling about the fact that the books title is “A Good Enough Mother” but that the stock cover used for it says “The Joe Pass Guitar Method“❓ 😂

I researched – this book is not yet translated into German. Pity. 😔

JennyM That is such a random title to have it under...weird😂 I got mine from the library, otherwise I‘d have put it in the post for you. Hopefully a translated version comes out soon 😘 5y
Buechersuechtling @JennyM You know, I was in an English advanced course back at school and I still think my English didn‘t decrease so badly since then, so I‘d probably still be able to read and understand an English novel. The mere point is that I am too lazy because I figured out that, of course, I am faster in reading books that are in my mother tongue. 5y
Buechersuechtling @JennyM The last book I read in English language was “When The Killings Done“ and I went crazy because I didn‘t understand all the plants‘ names and all the latin animals‘ names so I needed to look up things in a dictionary every second page. I was so frustrated. 5y

julesG Now that's funny. I'm faster reading in English, which is not my mother tongue and take ages with German. 5y
julesG I've chuckled at the stock picture for books, too. 5y
Buechersuechtling @julesG Back in school, when I had regular practice because of the many books I had to read for my advanced English class I was fast m in reading English, too. My brain just got lazy, I think. And I let it get away with it because German still is my comfort zone. 🤷🏽‍♀️ 5y
JennyM @Buechersuechtling 😂😂😂 the thought of reading a novel in another language makes me dizzy! Hats off to you!!! 5y
Buechersuechtling @JennyM 😊 Uhm, thank you. 🙇🏽‍♀️ 5y

If I‘d seen this book in the library, I‘d have probably passed on it. However, I saw a review and thought, why not. And I‘m so glad I did, because it‘s brilliant!!! It‘s written by a Clinical Psychologist and, I don‘t know if you‘d call it a psychological thriller, but at the halfway mark, I‘m impressed.

Kalalalatja Sounds interesting! 5y
Cathythoughts Sounds good ... I love the title. 5y
JennyM @Kalalalatja it‘s very good and it‘s trauma focused psychotherapy, so you may enjoy. Although it might seem a bit too much like work 😘 5y

JennyM @Cathythoughts it‘s good, and the title is very apt for the book. But I‘m not a fan of the cover 🛁 5y
Kalalalatja Ooooh, that sounds even more interesting! I‘ll have to put it on my to buy list 👌 5y
Cathythoughts @Kalalalatja it was Winnicotts theory ... I remember being so relieved when I discovered his writing 5y

#BookMail Pt3 This one was Goldsboro‘s BOTM for April. A psychological thriller about a therapist with a son that disappeared 18 months ago. When a new patient shows up that looks exactly like her son, boundaries are quickly crossed. Signed, numbered & slipcased.
