Not really a bookish post but wanted to share. Today is an important tradition in my state, but the Ky Derby was postponed this year. A lot of my friends still stuck to the tradition of bourbon & mint juleps. I made Derby pie & watched the virtual Derby, made to raise $ for the relief fund. My favorite part of Derby is always when the horses come out & everyone sings our state song.
I‘ve made progress on my book today, written by a Ky author.

Scochrane26 @Catsandbooks The unofficial recipe I use (there‘s many variations because only one place is allowed to make the official pie) has walnuts & choc chips. Some recipes have pecans instead. And some use bourbon. 4y
