Bailedbailed

After 4-5 days of not-reading in this book I could not find back in.
There were too many plots and people I could not recall properly, so I decided to put it away.

Before, I tried to find out the denouement – but due to its matter that was a bit tricky. From what I know of the story the ending does absolutely not satisfy me.
Additionally, I felt the book wants to deal with too much issues and too much “outsiders” to overall be credible. Sorry.

Can you believe⁉️
I was able to stand a whole weekend without my book. 😯

On Friday evening I was a bit in a hurry because I did not want our dinner to turn cold so I didn‘t take all of my luggage with me and then it turned out that I didn‘t have my book on me.

I mean, I knew where it was but because we were busy the whole weekend through I finally decided it wouldn‘t be worth to go and get it because I knew I wouldn‘t be able to read one word.

Seems, I tapped into a typical trap. I started a new audiobook (“Into the Water”) this morning and this is why I now feel more like listening than like reading.

I am only a few pages (under 30) into this (physical book). But I know this won‘t change until I continue reading. So let‘s squeeze a few more pages in until my stomach screams for dinner unignorably.

So it was “the day” yesterday.

Last day of this year‘s #SnookerWorldChampuonship final and we celebrated in style with English sweets.

What shall I say, yeah, one of our favourites won 🙌🏼✨ and it was a great game of Snooker this final. But now it‘s like the bubble bursted … Like falling into a hole 🕳.

Plus: Already missing the broadcasting schedule and the result checking that gave rhythm to these past 11 days. 😯

I‘m a bit late.*)

But see above our yummy brunch.

*) Just with posting. Neither with cooking nor with eating.

Starting this one while waiting for our tasty self-made, nearly original All day English breakfast. 🤤

It‘s about a girl who hears voices and sometimes talks to things. As she‘s new at school, she only wants to graduate and be seen as one of many. But then she meets Miles and remembers how she once has freed fish from the supermarket aquarium with him. Or is this not true …

Books and libraries/online catalogues are awesome. 😃 While I read a bit about Tara Westover‘s autobiography which I lately seem to stumble across constantly and now was curious about because of how @Heideschrampf reviewed, I found this book.

Seems I have a prone for strange characters at the moment.

Heideschrampf Is this a true story? Sounds interesting. 5y
Buechersuechtling @Heideschrampf I don‘t know. But I‘d think it‘s not. I will tell you when I read it. 5y
