Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView 📖
1️⃣ Excellent! I read more books this month than I have in a long time. The tagged book was my favorite read.
2️⃣ Not particularly.

A great vacation book. This one was fun with romance and mystery involved. A bit predictable in parts, but still fun and set up for a sequel at the end. I will pick up the sequel for sure. A fun one. 👍🏼🧙🏻♀️

I‘d call this a low pick. Sort of a fantasy/ magical realism/ thriller? Definitely very YA in vibe, and I didn‘t love the narrator. I may have enjoyed it more on the page.
The magic system was fun, and I like the contrast between different types of witches (natural born) plus Wiccan/ Pagans.
I probably won‘t bother with the sequel, but if I do I‘ll definitely read instead of listening.
It was “so-so“. I feel like it felt very “young“ to me. Too young. I like young too so I am not sure why it didn't resonate with me. Its one I definitely don't care about what happens next though. 🐜 I don't think so.

I finished this book like 2 days ago and I started the second book just to know how it will end.
I enjoyed reading the book though it didn't stand out. I like witch-ey stories.
I think teens would like this.
Finished this month's book for the #PLC. Although I didn't really enjoy it. I don't think it was “bad“. I feel like some of my peers might actually really like this one.

So I finished the main book a couple of days ago (forgot to post it on Litsy so I will be doing it now). It was cute.. but I want to say only “so-so“ for me. I enjoyed the teenage angsty type of story but... I feel like it fell a little flat. 🌸I suck at favorites. But I am going to just go with the “Witches Book of Self Care“ that has some great ideas of bombs and ointments for self care. ⬇
Who's going to be starting April's Book Pick for #PLC soon??? There is also a side book if you can't get the main book or if you already read it.
Everyone is welcome in our groups. We would love to have you. To check out the groups, go to my bio for the link.

This was a pretty solid book. It was full of sassy girls, magic and danger. I always appreciate a good witch book and I was not let down by this one. The magic felt real and as the kind I could have believed in when I was younger.
However These Witches Don't Burn was a bit predictable and there were some questions unanswered by the time the book was over. But since there is a sequel the questions might be answered there🤞
Great witchy read! I did feel like I was starting mid-series because there's a lot of reference to past events (thankfully, the author is releasing a short story soon that covers that event), and made for a great #Scarathlon2020 and #Screamthon read! Also part of my #BookSpinBingo card! Halloween happens during the book so 26 points!
I had a very witchy day yesterday! Finished These Witches Don't Burn and Macbeth yesterday morning (yay for early morning audio listening before work!) and started Witches and Wedding Cake. I have this weekend off, so hopefully I can get even more done!

Rereading this since I need to get to the sequel and was saving it for this month.
“We stay like that for a long time. Until, finally, something inside starts to stitch itself back together.”
“Her concern punctures through the hard facade I‘ve been building brick by brick.”
“I‘m standing here, telling you how much you hurt me, and you can‘t hear it.”
This was not at all what I though it was going to be! I thought it was going to be a cute little contemporary YA with witches and a little action! This was instead an excellent YA fantasy/contemporary/ romance that crushed my expectations! This is one of the better books I have read this year and I can't wait to read the next one! This book have excellent pacing, character progression and plot! I enjoyed basically everything about this book!
I was looking forward to reading this book about queer witches but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. This book was very LGBT inclusive and the magic was interesting but I was looking for something fun and this was more serious than I was wanting. It was more suspenseful and angsty than I expected and I wasn't that invested in the characters.
⭐⭐⭐⭐?
A teen witch fights to protect herself, her family, and her coven from an unknown attacker. Is it a blood witch? A witch hunter? A "reg" with an interest in dark magic?
This is a fun, LGBT friendly #YA that was exactly what I wanted it to be. :)
Can't wait for the sequel to come out next month!
Unfortunately, I didn‘t enjoy this book as much as I hoped. The writing seemed forced and it felted like the author was trying too hard, creating her own colloquial terms like “regs” which just felt forced. The LGBTQ acceptance was nice, but off as well; it felt more like the book was trying to hard to be diverse, instead of just being part of the story. Unfortunately, I don‘t think I will be reading book 2.
I thought this book was delightful! I devoured it and it was exactly the quick, fun read I needed. 💖✨
The romance was wonderful and in true YA fashion the book is full of teen angst. I would have liked more details about the magic system, but I‘m hoping we‘ll get a little more in the second book. And I hope he author writes a short story about Hannah and Veronica‘s trip to NY (which is mentioned many times but never fully explained).
Wow! This is such an amazing start to the series! I can't wait for the next book. The way this story is told, you are trying to figure everything out with the main character. It is really well done and well written! 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A cool modern interpretation of Salem witches that you don't see much, I think bc authors don't want to go against tradition & history. This was a good intro to a new world but there is a problem thats hard to get past, constant references to a pretty big occurence in NYC way b4 this book takes place made it feel like a sequel. Still a good read with diverse & believable characters. I do recommend.
I asked for queer witches. I got queer witches. It was glorious. Buttload of rep: lesbian mc, bisexual side character, transgender (FTM) side character with a boyfriend, several F/F romances. I have been seriously struggling finding a book with lots of GOOD queer rep that also has a good story and TADA! Here it is!
The mystery was REALLY well built. All the characters were developed equally so there was no obvious villain. Hyped for the sequel.
I've been wanting to get to this book for months!
Did some serious damage to this Nutella latte before I start this new book from The Otto Bookstore!
Witches? Yes! Sapphic witches? YES!! Sapphic witches with ex drama? SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! 😂 I think I‘m in the minority but I actually really liked this one, it was slow in parts and kind of lost its way a few times but I‘m into it! I‘ll definitely pick up the sequel.
It was hard to pick this month! #botm
