Blanche est une chouette petite fille, ou plutot une petite fille chouette. Car la nuit, sous sa couette, elle n'en fait qu'a sa tete !

#MarchIntoThe70s Day 24: #BecauseTheNight is hated by Blanche, something needs to be done. The English version of this French title is not yet available in Litsy‘s database. As noted by Fats in her review: “I initially thought it was about a little girl who hates the night because she was afraid of it. Not even close. It depicts childhood behavior during bedtime.” Her review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-g4T

Cinfhen I feel like this is a must read!! Looks awesome 5y
gradcat @Cinfhen Do you think this would work for the middle-grade prompt? At the moment, I cannot remember exactly how that prompt was named, but you know the one I‘m referring to, right? 5y
Cinfhen It seems more like a children‘s picture book than #MiddleGrade but honestly it‘s ultimately YOUR challenge @gradcat and if that‘s the book that speaks to you #GoForIt ❤️ 5y

gradcat @Cinfhen No, it‘s fine...I‘d rather do what the challenges prompt. I‘ll ask somebody if I can‘t find anything. (What you must remember is that I‘m an old spinster [oh, god, I hate that word!], and therefore know nothing about middle-grade books and/or children!) 😂 5y
Cinfhen You hardly seem old or do I sense crazy cat lady vibes from you @gradcat and spinster is a horrible word 😜 if you want suggestions for some good #middleGrade reads let me know. It‘s not my typical genre but I do have a few suggestions 😁 5y
gradcat Thank you @Cinfhen . I will definitely ask when I get to that prompt. 😊 5y

The art is cute, and the story of not wanting to go to bed and miss out on things is relatable. But the story is not well-told and is disjointed. Maybe because it is a translation?

The tagged book is the original, in French.
