Pickpick

This ended up being quite fun and silly. It's the third book in the series, so the concept is still fresh. I didn't realize it was originally published in 1971! I did find the Bulgarian accents wandered a bit into Boris-and-Natasha territory (i.e. they were cartoony), but overall Mrs. P charms again!

A jaunt through the Hamilton/Burlington area today took us to Pickwick Books in Waterdown. Three of the four books in this #BookHaul were on my to-read list. I'd been waiting for the pb of The Witch Elm but I won't say no to a cheaper secondhand hc!

Mehso-so

#2019readingchallenge “Published the decade before you were born” This was just okay. The circumstances of Mrs. Pollifax‘s espionage were far out of the realm of possibility, but the writing didn‘t make me want to believe her circumstances.
