I created this design based on Barbara Walker‘s top-down technique. I‘m heading for Whitehorse this morning and it‘s currently 4 C there, so I am looking forward to wearing my new sweater! 🐑#knittersofLitsy

Cathythoughts Oh I‘d love some cold weather. You‘ll be cosy out in that lovely jumper .. I‘m reading Raven Black set in Shetland at the mo. So I‘m thinking a lot of Fair Isle jumpers ... my mother was a champion knitter .. I never took it up ...( except for the simple teddy bear ) I remember the knitting rhymes she taught me .... AND , so I always love to see your knitting posts ♥️ (edited) 5y

Lindy @Cathythoughts I want to know the knitting rhymes! I‘m going to go looking online. Thanks also for mentioning a book set in Shetland; I‘m going to investigate that too. 🐑😊 5y
Lindy @Samplergal Thanks! It‘s not a complicated pattern, as you can see. (Just a lot of mathematical calculations.) I wanted to use some Pingouin mohair yarn that I‘ve had in the cupboard since the 90s. Unfortunately, in icy colours that no longer appeal, so my solution was to mellow them by plying with a lopi-style wool. 5y
Cathythoughts I can hardly remember... for the plain stitch it was something like ... “ In through the bunny hole , all around the top , out through the bunny hole & off you hop ... “ 😊. And the book ( first in the Series 👍🏻) 5y
