This is “Naomi” by Marlene Dumas who is one of the artists I have discovered in this short book of Alex Katz‘ curated artists of influence. I absolutely did not agree with some of his assessments but that is surely one of the requirements of art. Worthy look at artists of all types including poets, sculptors, architects but largely painters.
