pickThat was an immensely satisfying series, with two leads that were both flawed & full of heart, & a school of side characters who stole your heart just as much as the MCs did. I also loved getting to know the twists & turns of turn-of-the-20th-century San Francisco — the historical aspects were just as engaging as the murdery, suspenseful plot. A great read if you‘re in the mood for great characters, excellent world-building, & dark plots. ★★★★☆.
