I Spy the Illuminati Eye
I Spy the Illuminati Eye: What's the Big Secret? | Sheila Keenan
1 post
Enlighten yourself with this fun guide to the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing secret society. This irreverent, illustrated guide takes a look with an all-seeing, skeptical eye at the history and mystery of the cultural phenomenon that's got middle-school kids flashing finger triangles and scrutinizing dollar bills for signs of the Illuminati. It's the first pop culture companion to the shadowy group behind everything from the French Revolution to Jay-Z's fabulous rise. How did an eighteenth-century philosophical society infiltrate governments, banks, the media, the military, Hollywood, and hip-hop? . . . Or did they? Kids everywhere want to know who's in, who's not, and what all those signs, symbols, and secret rituals are really about. Is it all really real? Find out in this fun guide to all things illuminati.

Diving into this short kid's guide to false information, conspiracy theories, and how to fact check. So far it's really fun. I know 9 year old me would have adored it.

This came out in Dec. 18 so I really need to get it reviews foe the publisher.

RavenLovelyReads It has two reviews on Amazon, kinda hilarious ones. They were serious enough for me not to consider this book. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 5y
InLibrisVeritas @RavenLovelyReads I just went to find them, and I don't disagree! I haven't gotten too far in yet, but I am noticing it might be a little to tongue-in-cheek and sarcastic. I see it but as a move forward some of it might be difficult for kids to see. 5y
InLibrisVeritas @RavenLovelyReads At the same time it does debunk things along the way and goes into detail about some of the history. It also has sections of critical thinking and fact checking. So it's kind of a mixed bag honestly. 5y
RavenLovelyReads @InLibrisVeritas Thanks for your sharing your thoughts. I think I‘ll stay away from this one - It‘s just not what I‘m comfortable having my kids read. 5y
InLibrisVeritas @RavenLovelyReads No problem! It's definitely something I'm hesitant to recommend. My review is probably going to end up longer than the book when I finally get it posted 😂 5y
