Crazy Horse the Librarian
Crazy Horse the Librarian | Alan Duckworth
1 post
This is the story of the rise of the Internet and the death of the reference librarian. Once reference libraries were the glory of the profession. Once their labyrinthine mysteries were known only to a select few. Now they're gone and with them the men and women who served in them. This is the story of just one.

I chose Crazy Library Girl as my handle because when I was in middle school, my mom was friends with the mom of a boy in the grade above me. Apparently, he told his mom that all I ever did was “hang out in the library and read,” which he thought that was weird (books weren‘t really his thing). When I heard about this, I thought that was kind of funny, and decided to own my so-called weirdness.
#whatsyourhandle. @kaye

Kaye Well, I believe you have a whole gang of crazy library folks in here to hang out with. 5y
