Picturing Christmas | 
Saw the #JoinIn tag and thought I'd do so. I've been a single mom now for 2 yrs. Those holidays have been fun for my little but hard for me. I had better hopes this time. This year my best friend invited us over for the holiday -but she backed out of that late last night/this morning, so it's bummed me out greatly. Don't even feel like reading my new books I got last night. Hoping the day improves. Thank you for listening & Merry Christmas Litsy.

Bklover I am so sorry! That‘s an awful thing to back out on Christmas Eve! Trying to supply the magic of Christmas can be so hard as a single parent. Pull out all of the Christmas books you can find and settle down with some cocoa and your little one and read them all to her. When I am sad I find it hard to focus on my books too. Just remember- you AREN‘T alone! Litsy has pulled me up many times I can‘t count them all. Sending Litsy love to you!❤️ 4y

FantasyChick It sucks to have plans cancel like that, especially last minute. I know how hard it is to try and struggle to make the holidays great for the little ones when you're on your own. Trust me....they won't remember cancelled plans but the time spent with you! It will be magical no matter what. After bedtime, take some "you" time to destress. ?? 4y

BlameJennyJane My son and I spent many years alone on Christmas Day. Siblings had their spouse Christmases, parents traveled, boyfriends blew us off, etc. so my son and I created our own tradition of staying home in our pj‘s and watching Harry Potter movies. Now, a decade later, we won‘t even accept invites if we get them because we ❤️ so much it has become our special day (and now @toddred29). Many hugs! 4y

Nute It‘s tough when plans fall apart and those plans involve our children. However, I bet that the happiest part of your child‘s Christmas memories are the Mom&Me ones. Continue to create those special memories and make your own traditions and remember that they don‘t have to involve great expense...they just need warmth, honesty, and love!
