Pickpick

A perceptive slice-of-life novel in #comics format about roommates and working life. Frances is a conscientious law clerk, navigating the vagaries of office politics, and Vickie is a free-spirited party-loving actress. The clear black & white art is easy to follow and the story is warm, realistic and wry. #CanadianAuthor #graphicnovel

I‘ve added Hartley Lin to my list of cartoonists who‘ve portrayed a realistic cityscape of Toronto in their works. Which others do you know of? #comics

Vickie: Good grief — says who?
Frances: The internet. I‘m also drinking. It‘s a two-pronged approach.

The urban setting in the background is really well done in this #graphicnovel set in Toronto. I can‘t tell if those are the new “raccoon-proof” garbage bins that I have heard about. Apparently, some raccoons have figured out the latch on those.
