THE JUST WAR part two! Its true, Ares has been reborn on Earthbut has he changed for the better? Of all the role models in the world, he seems to have chosen...Wonder Woman?! Diana and Steve Trevor better watch their backs, because Ares isnt the only creature of myth to find his way to Mans World...and hes not the only resurrected Olympian either!

#62 isn‘t in the database. I finally dragged my aching head out of bed and I‘m going to start my #24in48 Readathon off easy with this next issue of G. Willow Wilson‘s run of Wonder Woman. The variant cover was sold out before I could even think about getting my hands on it. :(

Issue #62 actually but Litsy, comics & I don‘t always cooperate...Another cool cover and in this issue the all important question—what price are we willing to pay for peace? Plus, some other questions. What are we willing to sacrifice? And what is justice and who gets to determine it‘s been served? Plus, Wonder Woman. Do not mess with her and the Lasso of Truth...nothing good can come of it. Very much enjoying Wilson‘s run.

From Issue #62...

That‘s right, no dying “...at the hands of this overinflated orator.”

😂

DGRachel The comic book shop I order from doesn‘t have the variant cover in stock and 16 other people are on the wait list. 😭😭 5y

#60 but I can‘t find it!!! Anyway, I would buy the current run for the variant covers alone. Sooooo good. Really, the cover artwork is phenomenal. Of course, the fact the G. Willow Wilson is writing it, makes it an easy, “I must have this now!” decision. Wonder Woman, Ares and war—lots going on and nothing‘s easy. Definitely a good read. Recommended. Oh, and did I mention #60 comes with an outstanding cover? 😍

I love this cover (showed it to a big comic fan who was excited to see Wonder Woman wasn‘t wearing heels). This issue is Part II of ‘The Just War‘ which started in the previous issue. No spoilers so I‘ll just say that it can be difficult to tell who‘s good and who‘s bad (motivation is a tricky thing) and that can lead to trouble. Fantastic writing from Wilson and good artwork backing it up. Looking forward to the next issue.

DGRachel Yes! I love the variant covers for G. Willow Wilson‘s run! 5y

Lunch break trip to the comic store for some of this week‘s new releases. Love, love, love the Wonder Woman #59 cover. Super cool!!! Maneaters also has a great cover & I‘m looking forward to another great issue. Very excited to read Ewing‘s Ironheart—it‘s been on my radar a long time. And Fence Issue #12. It‘s the last issue in the comic run—will Nicholas make the team?!?—before the story switches to a graphic novel format. So. Much. Reading.
