First book of the new year is finished! This one was darker than her usual rollicking style but still entertaining.

4-10-21: My 36th finished book of 2021! Book 8 in the series finds Max and her family going through some very hard times. While St. Mary‘s gets through all its time travel intact for once, Max has to face some major hardships. #BookReport and #WeeklyForecast! Some planned reading got derailed this week when I got a 7-day skip-the-line loan of Caste, my BLM book group‘s pick for February. That expires tomorrow & I‘m only halfway, so it‘ll stay in progress till my regular hold comes in. But I finished two, started Angel of the Crows, and continued to love re-reading Windy Poplars for #KindredSpiritsBuddyRead. Hoping to make a bigger dent in the library pile this week!

Probably the darkest of the series, Max and everyone at St. Mary's take some massive hits in this entry. Heartwrenching and devastating for those of us who've been faithful fans since the beginning. The team does manage to jet about the timeline and take in some impressive moments from the Battle of Hastings to the sack of Constantinople in the 12th. Oh...and did I mention there's a time-travelling teapot? So it's not completely doom and gloom.

What a rollercoaster ride this one is!

Read books 1-7 many moons ago. I hope Ms. Taylor features countries besides Europe in the next 8.

I'll have to finish The Crow Trap tomorrow. But I'm quite pleased with my July reads. Finished both #chroniclesofstmarys and #great2019parasolversereadalong. Found my new Favorite book Red, White, and Royal Blue and actually had a couple of serious reads.

I love this series and watching the adventures of Max and the crew of St. Mary's. I usually enjoy the time traveling aspect where the historians go to a certain place in history to document and observe. But in this adventure, the history didn't grab me. But, what really propelled this one, was situation with Max and her family. It was a bit heartbreaking and I'm looking forward to see how things shake out in the future.

It is nice to have people in your life who care enough to tag you thrice...just in case. 😉

Yesterday I said goodbye to my best #readingbuddy. She lived and died by her own rules, not saying goodbye until she was ready to go. Today is Day 1 of moving on, and reading has never been harder. Goodnight my wild child, I‘ll miss you. If death is but the next great adventure, I hope yours is an amazing one.

While there are some serious heartbreaking moments there are thankfully the classic St. Mary‘s shenanigans to lighten the mood. I have enjoyed this series with the humor and history.

Oh em gee. I just finished this - and it had some hard, sad stuff, and then the CLIFFHANGIEST ending ever. So I went to immediately buy the next book in the series, and THERE IS NO NEXT BOOK YET. 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

Book 27 - apparently I read a lot of books in series! This is the latest (8) in Jodi Taylor's fun time travel series.

I don't want y'all to get the wrong idea, but this book keeps making my eyes leak. I don't know how she's going to right this but I trust her. I totally trust Jodi Taylor even when she makes my eyes leak. 💗💁🏻💐😭😍

Not my favorite. I'll probably read the next one, if there is another, but I'm not happy with this one and could easily walk away from the series. Too much melodrama and not enough of the fun elements I've come to expect.

I'm a day late, but this book just came out and after work, I'm going to #dropeverythingandread the latest St. Mary's book. So excited! #aprilbookshowers
