Issues #4 & 5: I promise to stop spamming everyone‘s feeds! Just so much to read...

Barrier is about immigration, borders, drug smuggling, family, empathy, revenge, understanding, what it means not to belong, to be looked down upon, being a stranger/different/unwelcome/misunderstood in a new land & the bonds people forge if/when (hopefully when) common ground, common purpose is found. Told in Spanish & English with great artwork. Recommended.

Issue #3: Time and time again comics, like many other mediums, show the allure and possibilities in telling a story without relying on words and in doing so demonstrate, convincingly I would argue, the power of pictures (something our kindergarten selves understood very well). There are no words, no dialog in this issue of Barrier which, amongst other things, asks what it means to be alien. Intriguing, unusual, recommended.
