Update to my last post:

Finished product, and it was not hard at all! Not even making the pastry homemade. Good eats tonight, friends!!

I recommend this cookbook for my friends that enjoy being in the kitchen and to those looking for new dinner inspiration🍴🥘

alisiakae This reminds me of the PA Dutch pot pie (which is a soup/stew, not a pie despite the name) I grew up eating. Yum! 3y
intothehallofbooks @4thhouseontheleft I had to look up PA Dutch pot pie!! It looks really good! I grew up eating homemade pot pie and I also like to make it sometimes, but I‘ve always eaten it with biscuit dough baked on top of a thick stew. So good, especially in cold weather!! (edited) 3y

Pickpick

I‘m listening to part of a Joe Pickett book (Nowhere To Run by CJ Box) while I make this chicken pastry recipe for dinner. This isn‘t like the Southern chicken pastry that everyone makes around here, but I‘m curious about it. Looks delicious!!

I love this cookbook. I made the Chinese-style glazed pork tenderloins from this book a few nights ago and my entire family loved them. Everything I‘ve tried from this book has been well loved!!

My Grandma used to read cookbooks cover-to-cover, as if they were the most exciting fiction stories and I never understood it. I thought it must be so boring to read recipes over and over. And now I do the same thing!! Just grabbed this one after flipping through a few pages 😳🤓😜

1. Anything Cooks Country related. Second place would be the cookbook written for me by my grandmother. I don‘t know that you could call it a “cookbook”. It was more of a list of ingredients and we had to figure out how to prepare the final dish.
2. Nope
3. Either Michael Symon (from my hometown) or Bobby Flay to cook brunch
4. Like my sister @Lauram also enjoyed a little maple syrup on cold macaroni and cheese.

Gaylagal2 I would for sure go with Michael Simon. I'm from Las Vegas and I once met Bobby Flay....a complete ass**** and snob! He sure could have tried to be nice to his fans and the people who pay to eat in his restaurants, which he was not. 😏 His staff however are amazing and super sweet! On a happier note, Emeril Lagasse was so nice, funny and polite! He always made time for fans 🤓 6y
JoScho Maple syrup on cold Mac and cheese is for sure an interesting combination! 6y
Kathleenkelly @Gaylagal2 Bobby Flay definitely doesn‘t seem that nice. I just want him to make breakfast. No need for talking - I‘ll be happy to eat and read. 6y
Gaylagal2 @Kathleenkelly Eat and read is perfect! 🤙 6y
