Flow, the Grip Prequel
Flow, the Grip Prequel | Kennedy Ryan
4 posts | 7 read | 1 to read
FLOW is the prequel chronicling the week of magical days and nights that will haunt Grip & Bristol for years to come. GRIP is the full-length conclusion of their story. In 8 years, Marlon James will be one of the brightest rising stars in the music industry. Bristol Gray will be his tough, no-nonsense manager. But when they first meet, she's a college student finding her way in the world, and he's an artist determined to make his way in it. From completely different worlds, all the things that should separate them only draw them closer. It's a beautiful beginning, but where will the story end?

I just couldn‘t get into this one. The heroine was too annoying and completely unrelatable. Didn‘t like her attitude regarding her brothers career and her assumption she could make him want to go back to a career that was hurting him - all for her own career ambitions. I only finished it because it was 140 pages. Only ⭐️. Two bad books in a row this week. A new low for me ☹️

Grip is Black. Bristol is White. Grip is a self made man from a single parent family. Bristol is a Trust fund kid from a wealthy although absent family. Grip and Bristol have entirely opposite life experiences and see the world very differently and this is their beginning.

Fantastic conversations already over the use of the N word, sexual assault from those in authority and crushing racial and gender stereotypes.

Will finish this trilogy.

This is a novella and a prequel to the Grip series and DAMN am I all in on this series. It ends with a cliffhanger, so definitely have the other books ready to read, so you can dive into Grip. I got through this book quick and it's definitely an interesting story that gets you addicted to read the rest

This author and series came highly recommended by Penny Reid and several other members of Penny‘s Facebook fan group. This is an intro to Bristol and Grip. It ends on one heck of a cliffhanger, which is kind of annoying, but not unexpected. I‘m rounding up to a pick, as I‘m still undecided on this author and series. We‘ll see how the first full length novel goes. Stay tuned...
